“We Bring History Alive!”
Annual event to attract interest from throughout Midwest


Emmy Award winner Cathy Smith, nationally known researcher, historian and consultant, will present the following two programs each day “The Demise of Tonto:  Or Hollywood Meets the Sioux Nation” and “Noble Attire on the Plains.”   Master Blacksmith Joe DeLaRonde, author and living history interpreter, will present one program each day entitled “Blacksmithing During the Fur Trade Era.”  Throughout the show, school age children will be given the opportunity to “Pan for Gold” at the Lost Dutchman Mine.

Join us as Cathy Smith and Joe DeLaRonde present the following programs giving us an insight into the clothing and material culture of the North American Plains Indians and the tools of mountain men and traders during the early fur trade era:
